The NPF Spirit Program has over 100 cheerleaders ranging in age from 5 to 14 and grades pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. We offer an instructional program for our Mini Mites for children ages 3, 4 and 5; a less competitive program for our Tiny Mites for children ages 5, and 6 entering grades pre-k, k, and 1st for the upcoming school year. We offer our full competitive spirit program for children ages 7 through 14 (2nd through 8th grade).
New this year, our cheer program is an independent cheer program. This means that we are not part of a National Organization and do not have to follow national rules.
We made this decision to provide the youth of Nashua with a safe and rewarding program led by knowledgeable coaches and build on skill progression and team work without the restrictions and costs associated with National travel. We are excited to be able to offer stunt clinics, cheer camps, and tumbling classes as well as compete in cheer competitions.

Dear Force Cheerleading Community,
We are excited to announce that Nashua PAL Force cheerleading will be making a change for the 2024 season. We have decided to step away from the New Hampshire Football & Spirit Conference and their board of directors and become an independent cheer organization. There were several factors that lead to this decision including the athlete and coach experience over the past few seasons and the benefits of restructuring our program to one that puts more focus on the athlete, coaching, and family experience.
Independent cheer programs allow for greater flexibility and creativity in program design. Independent cheerleading programs are not bound by the standardized structure and guidelines imposed by a larger organization, enabling us to tailor our approach to the specific needs and goals of our athletes. This flexibility is particularly beneficial in promoting inclusivity and accommodating diverse skill levels, ensuring that every participant feels valued and challenged. These programs often foster a stronger sense of community and connection among participants. Without the constraints of a centralized organization, our program can develop our own unique culture and traditions, creating a more tight-knit and supportive environment.
We will have the freedom to explore diverse competition opportunities beyond the scope of NHYFSC. This variety in competition experiences not only enriches the cheerleading journey for participants but also exposes them to different styles, techniques, and perspectives, contributing to a more well-rounded and adaptable skill set.
While Nashua PAL Force will still have a football program, the cheerleading program will no longer be mandated to cheer at games. We will also be able to offer a more flexible and ongoing practice schedule rather than trying to cram all assessments, skills, development, and choreography into four nights a week for four weeks in August. We will still offer low cost as well as stunting clinics, tumbling classes and access to cheerleading camps.
We realize this may seem like a big change, and we can confidently assure you that it is a positive one! If you have any questions, please reach out to Spirit Director Bailey Stevens or me at any time and we will be more than happy to answer them.
Sincerely,
Kalin Carroll
