FUNDRAISING UPDATES

The NPF Board of Directors has received a ton of feedback regarding how PAL Force conducted fundraising last season.  Complaints concerning the excessive amount of fundraising and the associated pressure to complete the increased fundraising requirements with the threat of "cashing of your check" if they fell short.

The 2023 Board of Directors wants you to know that we have heard you loud and clear. Our expectation for the 2023 season is to have two in season fundraisers:

  1. Calendar Raffle occurring in August or September* with individual incentives and minimum of 10 to sell- not 20
  2. Popcorn or other online fundraiser occurring in September or October* with team incentives and a minimum of 10 to sell.

Alternatively, if parents choose there will be a fundraising buy-out for $250 due the first week of practice.  This buyout is for the regular season fundraising only.

The goal is to have each athlete fundraise a minimum of $200 to sustain the program for the entire season.  Therefore, the minimum between the two fundraisers is 20 items, but if an athlete is more successful in one fundraiser, it will help offset the other.  Meaning if you are more successful with one fundraiser over the other, a combination of 20 total would be the minimum
*Dates are being finalized and are subject to change

We are also expecting to have one post season fundraiser for those who qualify for National’s travel. The qualifications for those teams are detailed in our bylaws which can be found here.

  • 60/40 Raffle
  • Individual fundraising allowed once athlete has qualified for Nationals

We do not believe that football teams advancing to the state playoffs need to conduct post season fundraising until they win the Regional Championship.  Once the team wins Regionals, then those athletes would need to conduct post season fundraising.

Volunteers (Student Demonstrators, Junior Coaches, Coaches without athletes, etc) will not be required to participate in fundraising. Participating as a volunteer is always welcomed and appreciated but is not a requirement.

We understand fundraising is not fun and has been a very sore subject in the past.  However, we want to keep our registration costs as low as possible and we cannot do that without fundraising. We believe that all parents/guardians want a safe and successful program for their athletes, and we must understand the importance of fundraising to make that possible.  We are relying on you to help us achieve this and are confident it will be done with proper communication and timelines.

Thank you for helping us provide the best experience for our athletes!

Post Season Fundraising

We have heard the complaints from many families regarding the 2022 season post season fundraising requirements loud and clear. We have also heard the complaint that "football" feels that "all fundraising" goes toward "cheer travel." While that historically may be true for post season fundraising, in season fundraising is to fund both the football and cheer programs. We will happily share the 2023 budget with our members as soon as it is voted in so you can see exactly where your registration and fundraising dollars go.

We also want to assure families that we will have realistic expectations for post season fundraising for qualifying teams. We will also have more effective communication about when each team is considered qualifying. Football and cheer teams may qualify at different times. There have been updates already made to the bylaws regarding individual fundraising and for NPF Football athletes who are regional champions. Please reach out with any questions.
